7 WAYS TO HAVE A FABULOUS FALL

Fall is a great time to focus on better kidney health. Here are some practical tips.

  1. Drink more water. Water supports the body through times of transition. Drier air may be remedied with increased hydration.

  2. Enjoy natural electrolytes to keep the kidneys functioning well. My favorites for the major four electrolytes are:

    Potassium: bananas, coconut water, watermelon, yogurt

    Sodium: olives, pickles, celery

    Magnesium: pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, almonds, and avocado

    Calcium: cheese, nuts, broccoli

  3. Enjoy a lower-back massage. It supports the kidneys and surrounding areas.

  4. Walk regularly to support your kidneys and a healthy blood pressure.

  5. Sit in silence. The world is quite noisy. A few minutes each day in silence is calming and nourishing.

  6. Stay warm. Particularly focus on keeping the lower back and kidneys warm as the weather begins to cool.

  7. Clear the fear. Some fears are rational. Some fears are completely irrational. But almost all fears are blocks. They block vitality, love, experience, etc. Getting a grip on what you’re afraid of and confronting it in healthy ways is a liberating lesson in letting go.
