In Between

We are caught in the “in-between.”

Spring, doing it’s best to burst forth, must wait out the last of these winter days.

On top of it all, time changes.

We need extra support during this time to find a new rhythm.

Here are a few reminders for thriving until Spring is in full swing on March 20.


10 Tips for Thriving during the End of Winter

  1. Rest is best. This is still the season that rules end of winter. Cater to better sleep. Wash the sheets and cozy up the space.

  2. Resist the urge to overdo - physically, energetically, and emotionally. Tend to the essentials. Stamina and vitality will pick up steam as spring progresses.

  3. Notice where changes are needed, but don’t necessarily make major changes yet. Urges, patterns, and desires may be strong, but it’s not the best time to disrupt security and stability without a solid plan. That said, never pass on a good opportunity!

  4. Be easy on others. Some are more sensitive to seasonal and time changes than others.

  5. Be easy on yourself. This marks the end of a year long cycle. Think of all that’s happened since March 2022. Proud of anything? Any regrets? Fun memories? Gains? Losses?

  6. Daydream a little. The growing season is coming quickly. What’s the best way to use the most fertile time of the year? Is there something to plan for or look forward to? The time is coming for resolutions, fresh starts, and more aligned living.

  7. Nurture the body. Do a body scan. What feels good? What needs attention? Need better nutrition? More sleep? Craving a different kind of movement?

  8. Hydrate. When the body goes through seasonal changes, it can be helpful to improve hydration. “They” recommend drinking .5 to 1 ounce of water per pound of bodyweight daily. If you weigh 100 pounds, aim for between 50 - 100 ounces of water daily.

  9. Laugh and lighten up. Call a friend. Share a memory. Watch a funny movie. Tell a joke. Laughter is a measure of happiness, and happiness is true wealth. The world can feel pretty heavy right now. Laughter is better than gold for the soul.

  10. Honor what we have in common. Despite what feels like a constant effort to keep people divided, most of humanity is searching for the same few things: a safe place to call home, enough food to feel satisfied, someone special to love, meaningful contribution, to feel wanted, loved, and free.


One foot in winter, one foot in spring.

One foot in the old world, one foot in the new.


Life has really changed over the last few years, and there are significant changes still to come.

Remember that we are in this together, and there is always growth and expansion in challenges.

Think of all that you’ve overcome.
